How the connection works

TotalResources connects to your Total.js project through a small bridge module installed in your application. The app reads your resources through that bridge, while the route and token stay under your control.

Install the TotalDesktop bridge in your Total.js app

To connect a project, download the bridge module from the TotalDesktop repository, upload it to the modules folder of your Total.js application, then configure the bridge route and token inside TotalResources.

App privacy summaryTotalResources is a local-first app. The app does not include advertising SDKs, does not sell user data, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not require an account to work with local project files.

Local project dataProjects, resources, source text, translated text, snapshots, notes, settings, and backups are stored on the device or in folders chosen by the user. Local workflows remain under the user's control.

System storage and syncIf the user stores files in iCloud Drive, a network folder, shared storage, or another sync provider, that provider may process files according to its own terms. TotalResources does not require those services.

Optional hosted featuresHosted connectors, OAuth setup, account-based workflows, and MCP-related features are optional. They are used only when the user enables them, signs in, or connects a hosted workspace.

AI-assisted featuresAthena AI and MCP-assisted workflows are optional. When the user asks the app to process selected content with an AI or connected service, the selected text, project context, and request details may be sent to the configured service only for that requested action.

API and authentication dataWhen the user adds a Total.js API token, OAuth connection, or hosted credential, it is used only for the requested product features. Users can remove those credentials or disconnect hosted features inside the app.

Diagnostics and analyticsThe native app does not use advertising identifiers, third-party tracking SDKs, or profiling analytics. If the user contacts support, diagnostic details are processed only to answer the request and resolve the issue.

Data retention and deletionLocal project data remains in the folders chosen by the user until the user changes, exports, moves, or deletes it. Optional hosted connections can be revoked by the user; hosted data is retained according to the connected service and account settings.

PermissionsThe app may request access to files, folders, network connections, or authentication flows only when needed for features selected by the user. Access can be limited or revoked through the operating system or the app settings.

ChildrenTotalResources is intended for developers, teams, and professional product workflows. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

User rightsUsers may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection for personal data processed by Spanish Total.js by writing to totaldesktop@totaljs.es. Users may also contact the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

SecurityWe use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data handled by our services. Users remain responsible for the security of their local devices, project folders, credentials, and connected accounts.

What we do not doWe do not sell user data. We do not inject advertising. We do not require cloud storage to use the app locally. We do not track users across third-party apps or websites.

Changes to this policyWe may update this policy when TotalResources changes, when new optional services are added, or when legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
